I'm not completely sure what I'm hoping to accomplish with these step-by-step views of my process. I enjoy looking at other artists' processes, so that's what I'd like to replicate here, but I'm not quite there yet. One thing I've learned is that I shouldn't do a journal of a piece that is almost completely black, since it is pretty hard to photograph. I tried to lighten some of the photos below so the beads and beadstring were more visible, but the photos themselves weren't taken in the best light, so the quality isn't great to start with. I'm learning as I go.

Materials:
The resulting ring is loose on my thumb. My thumb is a size 11, so I'd say the ring is a size 11 1/2. This is my first beaded ring; before, I've stuck with necklaces and earrings, so this is new territory.
I hope this blog was useful in some way, though I realize it could have been better. One thing I have definitely learned this month is what *not* to do when photographing behind-the-scenes shots of my beadwork. I need to experiment and find some better lighting, for one. And I need to remember to photograph *every* step, since I seem to keep forgetting a step or two.
