While my Etsy shop has been open for years, this is the first time I will be listing my entire inventory at once. The majority is available already, and the rest will be added soon.
Since 2009, I have created abstract jewelry that incorporates beads, silamide beadstring, steel and aluminum bobbins, and other materials. At my Etsy shop, several beaded bobbin necklaces are now available. I also have steampunk jewelry, beaded earrings, small boxes made entirely of beads and beadstring, steampunk jewelry, more bobbin jewelry, vintage spool jewelry, and other beadwork jewelry.
Beads have been my passion for eleven years, since 2002. When I was a kid, I enjoyed collecting and playing with small things. I would create multi-story Lego houses for my Polly Pocket dolls. As I grew older, I turned to beads. There are millions, perhaps more, bead designs, shapes, sizes and materials available. I love the variety, and I love exploring what I can do with the beads I find in bead shops, online, at bead expos, at craft stores, at farmers markets, at flea markets and at fairs.
The majority of my work uses bobbins. I find that they work well as base beads; they're sturdy, durable, and they form a foundation for the designs I create. I don't always use bobbins, though; I also use other materials to create unique pieces.
